Stelvio rain protection
« on: July 10, 2025, 12:21:00 PM »
I just bought a 2014 Stelvio WTH an adjustable windscreen extension.I adjusted it in the highest position and it is fine in the cold. However,in a really heavy downpour on the interstate returning from the MN rally I couldn’t see due to water hitting my faceshield and I had to pull over under a bridge. This never was a problem on me 93000 mile Stelvio without the extension so I wondering if the extension gap is channeling water into my face where it would simply blow over my head if I moved it to the down position.Anyone experience this?

A product like Rain X should improve visibility when rain hits the faceshield.

Never use rain x without testing a small section first. I've had it destroy the hard coating on some wind shields.

Face shield was fine until hit with a fire hose like deluge.

Take the windshield extension off. I took it off on my 2017 and it does much better in the rain and all around . 6’ 1” and 3/4 helmet.
