First 600 mile service to be completed...
« on: July 11, 2025, 01:40:58 PM »
Rode 68 miles to the Guzzi dealer in Prescott this morning to drop off the little Morini for it's first 600 mile service.
Also installing a set of Hyperlite flashing red LED brake lights, which I have had on several past motorcycles. :thumb:

After this, she will be all ready for the New Mexico Guzzi Rally in Datil Aug. 14-17.
300+ miles one way, but a beautiful ride - Sedona-Payson-Show Low-Pie Town, Quemado, then Datil! :boozing:  :thumb:  Always look forward to this rally every year... :thumb:   :boozing:

Yes, the 1982 3 1/2 is a true classic, but alas, they are now...."extinct".    Looked at one years ago in Oakland, but the guy wanted $8,000 for it...which was too much!

I am having a lot of fun with this modern adaptation.  700cc, DOHC liquid-cooled twin cylinder, (Kawasaki-design engine), 68 HP, 443 pounds, 6-speed, belt-drive, ABS brakes.

It is light, nimble, and quite sporty on the pipe!  Red line is an amazing 10,000 RPM.  Sweet spot is 75 mph in 6th gear at about 4500 RPM.  It will go 100mph if required...but that is unnecessary...

Not sure...?? but I believe you might be correct.

For sure, they borrowed the design from a modern Kawasaki twin-cylinder Z650 DOHC engine... :thumb: :boozing:
