Front signals 1980 1000sp
« on: July 16, 2025, 12:11:51 PM »

I am looking to replace the rubber seal that goes around my front signal light lens.  My parts list does not show the seal and it also shows a flat light insert vrs the offset one I have.  Wondering if anyone knows where I can find this rubber gasket/seal

I have found that the front signals on my 1980 1000SP are actually from a 1983 1000SP II which does show the gasket that I am looking for on the parts list.
Now I just need to try and find the gasket somewhere.

I thought maybe the ones for the 850 Le Mans II/CX100 would be the same, but that turns out to not be the case. They look very similar though.

Depends on how anal you wrt OEM Guzzi bits.
When I was building my T5 (SPII fairing) I sourced a rubber and lens from a local auto/truck parts store.

No pics - this was before the cell phone/camera era.

Heres a thought.  I could try to replicate them with my 3d printer in hard plastic.  We could then try and make them in TPU flexible printed material.  So they have some sealing ability.  I have never used TPU and not sure how durable it is in UV and weather conditions
