I blame it on Dirk_S and his great Monza V9 replika. Plus my recalcitrant Virago UJM. Because if my V9 is to stay, it could use some changes in order to make it more practical.
Fork is too harsh for my liking due to too much compression damping. I will try thinner fork oil before I alter the damper rods - worked great on my son's V7 Classic. Spring rate seems spot on for my weight on the V9.
The rear shocks have springs that are too soft, plus lacking rebound, but I can live with them until our currency get stronger, since everything from outside Norway now cost twice the normal rate.
The seat must be improved, which I can fix myself.
And the footpegs must be moved back. I like the idea of moving the attachments back on the frame that was mentioned in the Tracker article, much tidier than using simple brakets.
The final thing I would like to fix, is to have smooth trottle response from idle. The bike would still not be perfect, but no bike is. However, it would be very nice.
