Well- it looks like the dies is cast. I have a deposit on a T3 that has been thoroughly gone through by a great guy. One niggling thing, tho. One of the little banjos for the carburetor fuel supply has a drip when the bike sits. I know that the filter has a bit of a ring for a gasket, but it's not much. Has anyone figured how to fit a gas resistant gasket in there? Make something out of a thin piece of aluminum flashing? Nitron washer?
What do you think??

Mine don't leak and the strainer is the only gasket.
Try replacing the strainer. Maybe the old one has lost its elasticity.

If everything is correct and undamaged, no extra "gasket" or anything else is necessary. Many times the area around the bolt holding the banjo to the carb is damaged and a leak can result. Or, the banjo itself is worn or damaged - there's a slight raised ring on it that seals against the filter screen that is sometimes damaged by overzealous cleaning. Fresh filter screens and 6 mm fiber washer on the bolt helps too.

There was a progression of banjos over the years. The best are the aluminum, then came white ones, now black. The white ones are trash, but the black seem to work ok.
Like already said, the system works fine when all is in good shape. And pay attention to the thick fiber washer under the retaining bolt.
