Ducati Voltage Regulator
« on: August 28, 2025, 10:36:38 AM »
I'm in need of a Voltage Regulator for the permanent magnet system. I can find replacements for $32 and then there's the OEM for $150+.  Should I avoid the cheaper alternative? Are they durable and long-lived?

Do any of you have a good used one you'd sell?

I've got another regulator here, but it's got seven leads rather than 6. Is there a place that explains what they are and whether it'll work for me?

Some have a ground, some just use the case. Some have a second battery wire, some have a single. You need a drawing.

It's a simple potted item with ten horizontal fins. The leads exit top. Starting from the left -

There are no markings on it anywhere.
I believe that it had been connected previously with only the red, black and three whites.

This may show a diagram. I’ve bought regulators, starters and parts from them with good results

I have used Drag Specialty's HD Big Twin regulators as replacements to good effect. DonG
