43rd Annual Virginia Moto Guzzi Campout
« on: Today at 10:44:47 AM »
You are invited to attend the 2025 Virginia Moto Guzzi Campout! The Virginia rally is now a simple bring-your-own everything campout. Therefore, there is NO RALLY FEE.

Location: Willville Motorcycle Campground, 1510 Jeb Stuart Highway (Route 58), Meadows of Dan, Virginia, 24120. This is just one-mile north of the Blue Ridge Parkway at milepost 178. Willville Motorcycle Campground is a motorcycle-only campground with clean bathrooms, hot showers, coffee around the clock, and a bonfire nearly every night. Meadows of Dan is a nice little village with two gas stations, several places to eat, and several places to shop. If you don't want to pack your own food, you can buy food in town. The stores are one mile from the campground.

CAMPGROUND COST: $10 per person per night; please mention that you are with the Virginia Moto Guzzi Rally when you pay in order to get this special rate. Payment can be made when you arrive: just pay Will, the campground host. If you prefer a motel, the Blue Ridge Motel is still open.

For more information about the campout contact Mike Jones at mjones03@yahoo.com.

Also from Mike:
Rather than meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month, we’re going to meet for lunch on the 4th Saturday so that it coincides with the Virginia Moto Guzzi Campout. The lunch will be held at Hema’s Italian Restaurant in Rocky Mount, Virginia. That’s about 50 miles from the campground. Those who are at the campground and want to take part in a group ride can ride with me; I’ll be leaving the campground at 10:50am. This is the only organized activity of the rally, but it should be a beautifully scenic three hour ride with a break for good Italian food in the middle. Here are the vitals:

Date and time: Saturday, September 27th, at 12:30
Location: Hema's Italian Restaurant, 115 Franklin St., Rocky Mount, VA 24151
Phone: (540) 483-2713

Hema’s is one of the Italian restaurants that where Ron Komoroski liked to hold the monthly lunches. It’s a fair distance from Lynchburg and even further for our regulars who live north or east of there, so I haven’t scheduled any lunches there. It will be nice to visit there again. There was a time when I considered Hema’s to have the second best eggplant parmigiana sub in the state!
