sourcing female 3-pin connector (bike side) for ECU port - 2013 V7 Stone

Hi everyone,
I'm a new member here and got my first Moto Guzzi a few weeks ago. A 2013 V7 Stone with 3900 miles, in really good shape with one previous owner.
I love the bike, riding is great, but it has some of what seem to be common fueling/running issues - needs to run for a minute or two or will stall out, jerky acceleration, popping on decel.
I went to find the diagnostic port with the intention of maybe remapping. After looking high and low and way too strenuously for the diagnostic port, what I found was, as far as i can tell, the diagnostic port was cut out and the wires capped off. Is that what I'm looking at? If so, Why???
Anyone seen this before? I have a few service records and it seems all the service was done at a shop, not by the owner.
Next question, anyone know where I could get this part - the bike-side female 3 pin connector? No luck finding the part in a web search, aside from buying a whole used wiring harness. Is that what I'd have to do? And, if I splice it in, will it even work? Weird times.

Here are link to one on eBay and one on Amazon. Note the wire colors are different, and one of the wires isn’t necessary, but at least you have the connector body and could always change out the wires if you want.
EBAY:
https://ebay.us/m/U2Xoha
AMAZON:
url=https://a.co/d/7hdmtRx
There are some available for even cheaper if you search hard enough.

I thing the wires that are wire nutted together are for heated grips, not the disgnostic port. In any event I get rid of the wire nuts and make a proper repair. Posi-Taps would be a huge upgrade 12-2 wire nuts.

To find diag plug look in service manual, most likely tucked under something. Look in side covers, may have been rerouted by someone to different local.

Good catch, guys. I didn’t consider that it actually might be the USB port. Makes more sense that someone would chop that connector off.
The diagnostic port is a 3-pin; the USB/AUX port is a 2-pin.

On a couple of my Guzzis they were tucked away in some of the strangest spots. Dig around, usually under something. Another sneaky way to make you take it to a dealer.

OK, back to believing it’s indeed a diagnostic port in your photo. The diagrams in the service and owners manuals are difficult to read, so I just checked out Carl Allison’s wiring diagram, which you can find here:
https://www.thisoldtractor.com/guzzi007/schematics/2013_V7_Series.gif
…and here’s a screenshot:
Codes: 40 is the diagnostic port. B = Blue, V = Green, Bi = White.
Blue/White and Blue/Green appear to be the diagnostic port wires according to his colors. Carl’s drawings are pretty dependable (though I just emailed him about the B/V wire displaying as blue/purple instead of blue/green). I also don’t see a USB port in the diagram. Maybe my eyes are glazing over it, or maybe a USB port wasn’t included on the earlier Heron head V7 bikes.

Thanks all for the replies!
Dirk - Really appreciate you looking into this. As you can kinda see in my photo , the two cut wires are blue/green and blue/white. Dun dun dun. This makes sense, because I definitiely had both side covers off and looked everywhere in there.
Thanks for the links! I probably didn't quite have the right search terms for it. With the color difference, not sure how to know which two of the wires to use, and which to connect to which on the bike?
Also, who would do this and why?!

Maybe whoever worked on it didn’t feel like buying the cable connectors.
I couldn’t find any photos online to help figure out which wire goes into the respective slot. Hopefully someone on here with a 2013 model can chime in soon.

Gleaned from AF1's site. The plug does look like the 3 pin diag plug. The two wire nuts is what a bit confusing.
