It was the first Mod I installed on my Brand new 1977 GL1000 I purchased as my first new Motorcycle OTD in SoCal for $2800!

I had a Windjammer on my '73 cb450 and then put it on my '75 Z1 back in the day. Great engineering, all I needed to switch from the CB to the Z1 was a new fairing mount frame.

He lives, or lived in Carmel Valley. I’ve seen him at a cafe there where we’d go for breakfast before riding over to the track. That was back when World Superbikes raced at Laguna Seca.
Not been to a race there since the last WSBK race weekend. While we’ve been down many times for vacation and even to breakfast in Carmel Valley, not seen Craig Vetter in person since.

Windjammers were best in rain and cold weather.I had them on several bikes and never had anything as effective on modern Guzzis.

My first Convert had a Vetter Windjammer fairing, loved it!
My second Convert had a Windjammer 3, loved it.
Craig Vetter was a true visionary to the touring class rider,
before we were really called touring riders.
Craig Vetter is one of those guys I’d love to shake his hand and
tell him to his face how much I appreciated his work.

We went with the Vetter equipment over the Honda-line due to the Vetter being much heavier duty and offered superior protection from the elements as well as protection in general. We never had any issues with this equipment.

I had a Vetter Terraplane, #39 mounted to a 1981 Goldwing. Rode it over 145,000 miles. Very few issues.
