A previous owner ditched the license plate holder, including the lights. I've been able to DIY a holder, but the lights remain elusive. The OEM parts are available, but will cost ~$80 and not arrive until late January. I could wait, but it will be tight since my registration expires 31Jan and the inspection officially requires a license light, even though they might not check.
The factory wiring seems to be for incandescent bulbs since cheapo LEDs from Amazon did not work. It was amazing how few strands of wiring each LED bulb used.
Does anyone have a clever solution using incandescent or mod to reliably convert to LEDs?
