What an odd clustering of demo sites. Couldn’t have spread out a little more? And I didn’t know my home state of Pennsylvania was such a hotspot for desired Guzzi ownership.

Agree,  they completely skip the Midwest and go to North Dakota!?  Maybe ND is a hotspot for Guzzi sales....

Nothing on the west coast.   Not that I really need to ride anything but to hang out a bit would be fun and an excuse for a ride.

I'm assuming it's based on active dealer participation ($$$ or otherwise).

Seems very weird to skip Colorado and Utah given the places we have to ride here.

kev is correct.  It's a substantial dollar output from the dealer to get the demo truck.  Don't think for even a second that "the cost is built in" or any such nonsense.

The dealership in Reno won't even bring a bike or two to the Nevada state camp out let alone support something like this.

The dealer in Greer SC (D2 Powersports) also hosted an Indian demo day a few weeks ago, so they must do tis regularly. They had roughly 5 MG's in house when I visited, far fewer than the Triumphs, BMWs, or Indians they also stock.

Seems very weird to skip Colorado and Utah given the places we have to ride here.

Skipping Utah kinda makes sense, since we just got an MG dealer back. Manufacturer demo days are rarely about good riding though. It's usually just a small 15-20 min loop through town.

The HD Pan Am launch demo up at Brighton was the only one I've seen at an actually fun riding location.

I caught the demo tour in Portland, OR last September... based on it having been going around that late in the season, I suspect as others suggested they may be adding more dates and locations over time.

Something else to consider is that this is the brand's tour, their bikes hauled around on their truck(s). Some dealers have demo bikes available to book and test ride anytime on a DIY route, and some put on their own demo day at the dealership level where there might be 1 bike of each common model available to rotate through and test ride in a short guided group ride.

WOW! This is great if you live in south central/ south eastern Pennsylvania. Going to go to the one in Red Lion 45 minutes away.

I called the Red Lion dealership (never knew they were a Guzzi dealer!?!) and asked about the event. Said it starts at 9am and rides are a 20 minute loop and you can ride whatever you want. Then he said… “ When all the events are over, ALL THE BIKES WILL BE DESTROYED!!!)
I guess that is typical?!?

The HD Pan Am launch demo up at Brighton was the only one I've seen at an actually fun riding location.

During Daytona Bike week many years ago, I can remember "doing the ton" (albeit briefly) on both BMW and Buell demo rides!     I also distinctly remember one of the demo groups being stopped by the Volusia County Sherifs Department!  Times have changed.

That sounds wildly expensive or like someone got carried away with the use of the word "demo" as in demolish!
I would have figured they'd sell them at a discount to dealerships as having been used factory demo bikes... I know quite a few riders who have bought ex-press and ex-demo bikes.

My R75/5 was a demo bike. It was the first one in Denver, all the subsequent ones were sold with new owners waiting for them to arrive. This was an unknown period of time  so I took the demo when it was offered. The next one didn't come in for a couple of months, it was already June and I had already sold my R50/2. The R75mran great for years with only a couple of early production problems which were promptly corrected.
