V7 MKI 2014 fuel line Query
« on: April 29, 2026, 02:15:26 AM »
Hey everyone, just a bit confused with the fuel lines on the V7 classic if anyone can remedy my confusion.

I broke the t connector in my fuel line while taking the tank off and installed new fuel line . The original fuel line had an extra hose which connected from the tank to the fuel line. However there is no way to connect this to the new fuel line and it seems to be one piece that goes directly to the fuel tank outlet.

Does anyone know if the new fuel lines supersede the original lines that come with the extra hose from tank? Please refer to pictures.
The images show the full hose I bought and the extra hose piece that used to go in between the tank and hose . But being female to female I connected the full hose that I purchased directly to the tank. Hope that makes sense!
Thanks

I'm a little confused by your question.

The fuel line assembly on the MkI V7 (your first photo) goes from the tank/pump assembly, through the T fitting to the two injectors in the manifolds.

If you broke the T fitting and you have the new piece from the first photo, that's all you need.

If you broke the T fitting and only have the new piece from the second photo then you would also need a new T fitting. Though I seem to recall hearing that the factory hoses weren't designed to accept new barbs like a new T fitting so that could be problematic.

What part of your question am I missing?

They made 2 different fuel lines. One was all one piece with T to injectors. Later on they made one that had a separation connector on the long part that connects to tank before the T. That has the green square button to separate if you can't get connector off tank.
They are 2 different lines.  Green button short piece goes on a different fuel line, most likely N/A
So the 1st & 2nd pics do not plug together.

Thanks mate, I just wanted to make sure that using the new line without the extension would be ok. Thanks so much for understanding. Sorry for the confusion everyone and thanks for your input. You guys rock

The 2 piece fuel line has been superseded. I could not get parts for it, so have a pristine short pipe with a useful looking green button that has nowhere to go. The replacement is a one piece affair. The hoses for the V7 Classic and for the first 1TB V7 (2014) have different hard bends in them and are not interchangeable, I have a record of the appropriate part numbers should you require them.
