One of the friends in Honolulu had a GB500, '93 Cali 1000 and a greenie 1000S.  I got the latter two and missed the GB500.  He had sold it to someone else on the island.  Perfect bike for the congested streets of Honolulu.  Nice looking bike.  I was looking for the late model Nuovo Falcone Police model.  I liked the fairing but alas no go.  😒
From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉 Hawaii.

I wanted one for years.  But the prices on them just kept going up and up.  The ones on BAT were going for crazy money 10 years ago. I made an offer on a couple of them that were local but always lost out to someone with more money (and less brains?) than me!  I'm pretty much over them now.  I haven't looked recently but I think prices have come back down to earth.

I agree.  It is astounding how many motorcycles that function extremely well there are that can be bought today new or used for $6-7,000.

I have talked to several people in the last few weeks who are downsizing their stables due to their age (late 60's to late 70's).  I suspect the age factor is very influential in determining market price.

Very hard at least for me to justify spending money on a motorcycle that is less functional, but more aesthetic than another bike!

Then again, if I were wealthier, I just might have a garage full of older bikes just to look at and polish.

Much cheaper to just collect the older sales brochures of the bikes I always lusted after but could not afford....
