You can find OEM Moto Guzzi parts on Amazon alongside no-good junk parts from companies that used a random function to generate their brand names. It is a marketplace and the responsibility is on the buyer to do their due diligence before making a purchase, same as for eBay and the like.

As noted, it's no different than going to a real store - there is cheap stuff and there is good stuff.  It's up to you to figure out which is which.  I buy plenty of motorcycle-related items from Amazon and never had any problems but it requires a bit of "looking."  And Amazons "best deal" has nothing to do with best quality...

FWIW - made in China is just like made in any country; there is crappy, cheap stuff and more expensive good stuff.  China can make a product as top quality as anybody else but Western-world suppliers often source the cheapest version to make the most profit.  Heck, you can buy a $79 Chinese violin that's basically junk; or a $5000+ Chinese violin that has won international violin competitions. ;)

Just in case Steve's joke went over everyone else's (except Motormike's) head as it did mine...

He was referencing the explosion of Jeff Bezo's Blue Origin New Glenn rocket. Doubt it had Amazon sourced parts that made it go "Boom" though.

Amazon is flooded with knockoff imitation grey market parts. I use it, but only buy from known/established vendors if it is something that matters. A buddy ordered NGK Iridium plugs and they came in plain white boxes. 3 failed in the first week.
