Breva11 - Beval Box Output Seal

Hi all, 

Breva1100

Is it worth replacing the Beval output oil seal just as a matter of routine while the swingarm is off?  Bike is 20yrs old and 35K up. 

Or is it more trouble than its worth?

My Norge has the same CARC rear end and the first seal was still good at 19 years and 200,000 km.
I’d leave it but make sure the little drain hole in the swingarm where it bolts to the CARC, is not blocked.
That will tell you if it starts to weep.
I haven’t read all your thread, but have you renewed the fluid ?
Also it’s an input seal, but your point is valid.
I’ll tell you what though, if you do remove the bevelbox, remove the drive shaft and grease the drive splines.
It’s a lot easier to get the shaft out if you drop the swingarm and then you can grease the tapered races.
Now that IS worth doing.

Yep, the swingarm complete is a removed.  Partly to do this,  but mainly as rear suspension links are toast.
