White Diamonds Metal Polish

I stripped these ugly fork legs a year ago.  Sanded and then polished with White Diamonds metal polish.  It's a year later and they are still nice and shiny.  The only thing I've done is wash the bike like normal.

I DID give them the "once over" today when I installed Progressive cartridges.

Hey, Good Stuff! It even takes out scratches on headlight clear plastic on newer cars.

I used Mother's Billet Aluminum polish for years, but the White Diamonds lasts a lot longer.

The Mother's has a bit more aggressive cut than the White Diamonds and so I sometimes use it first and then finish with the White Diamonds polish.

I initially hand sanded the fork lowers, starting with 220 and finishing with 1000.
After than I used a foam pad on the end of a drill with the polish.

A couple drops of Dawn in a squirt bottle helps to keep the black crud down to a minimum.  Just spray a little every now and then while polishing.

The same thing works well for most any aluminum polishing.
