1970 Ambassador Perservation Project

The 1970 Ambassador preservation project is now complete.  It runs very well and I am out putting on the initial miles.

This bike has been off the road since 1985.  It suffered from all the usual maladies from sitting that long, but it was stored in a decent environment.   

The original finishes were retained.  I have around 400 hours labor in this one.

I was out getting in a few more break in miles.  I am loving this 750cc motor.  It is very peppy and smooth.

Followed your thread in the build forum. Very nice work! In the middle 80's I acquired a somewhat weatherworn white Ambassador for very little money. It was "just another old bike", then. I threw a couple of used tires on it, a new battery, and got it running pretty well. Me and Mrs larrys used to roam the back roads around here on it. It was so much mellower than my hopped up SP. Put it in 4th gear at around 40mph and just leave it there...
