Paint codes?
« on: August 26, 2026, 01:26:01 PM »
Hi…

When I received my V7 Sport from the shipper I used to ship from Ohio to Idaho, there was (is) an abrasion on the left exhaust (muffler/silencer, whatever). I did file this problem with the driver and the shipper, but as of yet I have heard nothing. Looks like I probably should have used someone else for that. I recently found out that there is a dealer in my state, although four hours from me. I didn’t know that at the time I got my bike, but I digress.

Anyway, I’m trying to find the actual paint code for the exhaust pipe (because I’m kinda
weird like that…I could maybe go with some generic heat resistant Matt Black, but I would prefer to use the OEM paint if I can find it.)

Anyway, this is what I’m dealing with…just the lower angled stripes…the light above is just a reflection.

Are you sure it’s paint and not powder coating or similar? Trying to match that would likely best be done at a regular paint shop that also does motorcycles.

But don’t be surprised if they turn down painting a muffler.

Guzzi has never admitted having paint codes as far as I know.  They didn't even get 2 pieces the same color on my bike. I had a fender painted to match the tank and the painter got it spot on but Guzzi couldn't get 2 pieces to match (on same bike, from the factory).
