Can you test a Saprisa Regulator?
« on: October 02, 2026, 01:14:33 PM »
Hello all,

Can you test the Saprisa reg?   Im getting some sporadic overcharging. Connections look good, Generator connections look.  I'm getting good voltage on the +pos line to the reg.

AI suggests I should be getting 0.4 - 0.6 ohms between the AC Inputs and the +Pos,  but i'm open circuit.

Anything I can try before getting a new one.

What year/bike is this?
You can test the winding resistance, which just tells you they are not open.
If you measured overcharging at the battery, it's likely the voltage regulator.
I would also triple check connections, especially the regulator ground screws.
