Connecting rods
« on: October 11, 2026, 12:08:40 PM »
It would be great if my reasoning could be verified.

I am reassembling the connecting rods on the crank with new big end bearings and having read everything in the manuals, searched the forum and looked at G Bender's site, I have concluded the following: As these rods do not have oil holes on the sides, "B" in the manuals, the rods can go in any direction, i.e. there is no up or down.
I realize it is a basic question but with verification, the mind rests and progress resumes.

thanks in advance

If they do not have the oiling holes on the side, then they should be able to go either direction. IF, they have Guzzi or Motoguzzi cast on them, then I would face the logo to the front of the engine.

Hope this helps,
