So, what's the head guard/crash bar on this beauty?

Stucchi - http://wiki.ab.sk/doku.php?id=guzzi:bellagio:acc:guards:stucchi
you'll see on that wiki there are other bars that work as well, interchangeable with the Breva 1100 and 1200 Sport iirc.

I've since put LMIII on style rocker covers on her and now use a more traditional protector...

My brother picked this up at Mid Ohio during the vintage weekend. Norton Featherbed frame with a 54 Enfield 500cc single.

That Ducati is a stunner :P
But nasty to start.

One of my friends almost broke his leg trying to kick it.

First start this spring, we ended up towing it behind a car, as we were all afraid to kick start it (I've kick started it myself several times, very nasty kickback if you get it wrong).

I have used to nasty kickbacks from old soviet motorcycles, they did not have electrical starter at all. The trick was that you had to kick it with your toes of your foot, not the central part or heel part of feet. If it kicks back, it just slips away under your toes and it does not hurt this way nor breaks your legs. Before you really kick, you have to push it slowly downward until you feel resistance (compression in the cylinder) and only then you kick with force. Pushing downward with force "through it", using your body weight if necessary, rather than kicking actually. Have not tried to kickstart Ducati, but I guess the same would apply.

The SS must be non-standard in some way...  they are not particularly difficult to kick start, easier than a big single.  The only unusual thing with bevel Ducatis is that you don't normally start them mounted in the saddle because the kick starter swings out too far.  Instead you start them from the right side of the bike, on the center stand, kicking with your right foot.  Good practice is to keep your knee slightly bent in case it kicks back.

It's non-standard in EVERY way.

High compression, dry clutch, cams, etc.

I could really fall in love with the look of that bike. It might require me to make it a little more comfortable though. Maybe fender too?

That is a cool design.  It does look like a non-riding bike tho.

SU carbs?  And exhaust looks like it exits right in front of the foot? Seat a little too minimal.

Love it however the mono shock doesn't quite fit in the time period for the board track style this was built in. Should have made it rigid; just my opinion great work though!  ;-T

Think Scotts or Vincents... generally not single shocks but the right gemetry.

That's a great looking bike.  It wouldn't take much to make it into a practical road ride, either (starting with the seat and lack of mudguards, and perhaps just a hint of muffler).

I really like this SP1000 from Firestarter Garage too.

Here are some pics of my V50 from a ride a couple of weeks back.

The same guy made the GB500 bodywork as my V50's.
I'll blame the dirty bikes on the fact that it rained on us a bit.
Though mty bikes pretty much always look like that.

Here are a couple of Ducati's that were on the same ride..
