It's not always about speed, it's not always about power, it's not always about popularity, but it is always about how it makes you feel.

Cool, I really like that ! The gearbox/footrest mounting set-up is sweet. Your work ?

Miles.

Yep, it's all my work the pegs are actually CNC cut rearsets off of a GSXR GSX-R 1100. The gearbox looks like it's hanging out in the middle of nowhere because there is no lower frame rails and because the rearsets are so far back. Thanks for the good word ! !

Far from a true cafe racer but I think it is slowly heading in that direction?

The Pipes are Mistrals that I got from MG Cycle for ~$600 bucks if I recall and the tank is from The Tank Shop (John Williams) in Scotland.

Now that you have me feeling all insecure cause of my Apes.   ;D..............how hard is it moving them back where they belong?  That crome nut cover pop right off?

There's a small plastic cover in the center covering a hole for an allen key.  That will pop off easy.

The top nut is the big, domed thing (that you may be referring to as the cover).

First, remove the bars...

Loosen the pinch bolts on the forks and the pinch bolt on the stem, remove the chromed top nut, then lift the top clamp off.  It may take some urging with a rubber mallet.

Bob,
After you get them down (bars that is), I would seriously start looking for a windscreen that is more cafe.  What I mean is a screen that actually comes back and down.  My friend has that identical bike and a screen similar to yours and got all sorts of buffeting at his helmet.  He took the screen off (naked) and we rode all over the backroads at 60-80mph and he felt nothing around his head like before.  Sure... more around his shoulders, but things were quiet around his head.  He loves it so much more, and we're starting to figure out why windscreens that come back and down (instead of more vertical) are better against buffeting and instead allow a smoother flow and a consistent flow of air around the helmet instead of a vacuum directly behind and a clashing (or coming together) of air back around your helmet.  It's really amazing how comfortable a bike can be when you don't have someone boxing your ears constantly.  How do I know?  I put the stocker screen back on my V11 Lemans the other night and took off the MRA (taller with lip and a bit more vertical), and oh my this bike is so easy on the rider now!!!  Looks are deceiving!

Just saw this on Sport Touring Net.

The frame color should be changed and maybe the seat too but otherwise I love. I winder how a Nickel or Red colored frame would look on that bike?

Sfida taken after the rebuild. Looks much the same now except the headers are wrapped as they started to flake a little.

In the Winter I'm thinking about side and center stand coated matt black and front guard sprayed red to match the rest of the paintwork
