My name is a dental instrument that just sounds kind of strange (guess what I do). Here's my new "Barn Find"

I sold a black r90/6 when I got married. Thought I was done with motorcycles. After 12yrs away, I got the itch again and bought a used black Suzuki Vee Strom 650. Hence the name backnblack. Decided to keep the name even though my current ride is the opposite, a beautiful white Norge.

My parents gave it to me!

I had an R90S once. Wrecked it, fixed it, sold it and figured I'd best stick with what I'm best with: Moto Guzzis.

I live on a farm where local game wardens drop road kill deer. I call it Pet cemetery. At any rate, when the coyotes and buzzards are done, I pretty much got a boneyard...

I went to mexico for over 20 years in a vw van or bug and often took my dog.   Took a gs 500 in 2002 to Guatemala.  I like guzzis because of the push rods and the dry clutch.

As a boy of maybe 10 or so, I would read everything I could about old motorcycles. All the exotic names of bikes and riders...
If a pretty girl would ask my name I figured "michael miller" too common and B-O-R-I-N-G. (I even had to sit next to another michael miller in school !) so I would tell her "my name is tazio".
(Tazio Nuvolari, was an Italian motorcycle and race car driver I had read about)
I think I got to 1st base one time because of that ;-T

Tazio I thought that name was familiar.

I used to do a lot of work on a couple of power station in the Mantova area and always stayed in Mantova (or Mantua if you prefer) That was where Nuvalori hailed from. Seen a few books about him in the book stores but my Italian is not good enough to read about him.

I miss Mantova great town

First off I would like to introduce myself. My name is Scott and I have just been given the go ahead from the boss to purchase a Griso 8v. I work for a euro (mainly Ducati) performance race / service shop in Ft. Lauderdale. I have only owned Euro bikes in my life and this will be my 3rd Guzzi (97 Sport 1100 & 98? Centauro).

Abot my name: In my earlier life I was not a big fan of Harley riders (all in fun of course, had nothing against them) but got tired of all the BS the weekend badboys would spew. At the time, late 80's early 90's, I had a BMW and of course most of my friends had Harleys. Well I do not have to tell you guys that a BMW could literally run circles around them, plus I had the added benefit of not leaking oil.

So when I got a personalized plate I got "HOG4DNR" if I saw an HD in front of me I wouldn't let them stay there long.

I have had this name for almost 25 years now.

When I lived in Nebraska I chased t-storms and tornadoes.  I had a 76 F-150 extended cab in green. Body looked like hell, but the glass was always like new, having been replaced fequently.  When the clouds would roll in and the wind would climb Id takeoff to chase the storms.  Neighbors would see me leaving and say "there goes the stormtruck."  Hence the call sign.  P:) P:)

Sounds almost like "lookin fer trouble." Yeah. I can relate. kim

Balancer is a reference to integrated self.  Integration refers to the miscellaneous and sundry drives that comprise the human amalgam. Balancing is a form of art therein. kim

Well, being new here I thought I would chime in. I use the user name augerdin sometimes because thats what happened when I was ag flying. I left more than one plane in pieces in some field somewhere. Now I use wavedog because my wife says I am a dog. She said to me one time ' how do I love thee.. let me count the waves.'  Yikes. I hope she doesnt read this.

When we moved to south Georgia 20 years ago we were amazed at the many Cardinals that would come to our bird feeders so we started calling the place Redbird Acres.

Conchscooter was given to me by the V11 Forum when I first started considering a Moto Guzzi. That was years ago and I went with Triumph instead as Moto Guzzi had zero presence in South Florida.

Now I am considering a move North to a town with a dealer and an independant shop that both work on them and a woman I like who also likes the California (a V11 is not my idea of two up riding much though I still like the Lemans). I grew up in Italy but never owned a Moto Guzzi so it is something I want to rectify before I die. This may be my chance.

A Conch (pro: konk) is an edible shellfish found in tropical waters and a Conch is also a native of key West (which I am not). It is an online name I've had for so long I can't imagine changing it even if I do end up moving to Roanoke, Va.

Mine comes from my other motorcycle passion - dirt riding. Had the first Beta registered in AZ. Use the same handle for all mc related forums, otherwise I would forget who I am!

As a fairly, new tractor trailer truck driver, the best way to make time on hilly or mountainous roads, was to keep the engine wound up to the "redline" on the tachometer. This also pertained to my motorcycle racing...hence the 'handle' ... REDLINE.

I've been collecting antique and vintage electric fans for close to 20 years.
Early on, I was a bit of a 'fanatic' about fans, and since many (good) old fans are found stashed away in someone's attic, a friend came up with the moniker 'Fanattic'.

So no, I'm not a 'fanboy' of comics or celebs or anything like that. I'm just an old fart with lots of extra wind!   ;D

Here's a few of my favorite fans:   1898 Emerson F1 'Tripod', 1900 Westinghouse 'Tesla', and an 1899 GE 'Pancake'
