I took this photograph in Lucca, Italy.  At this point in its life, the bike looked like it had been ridden very hard without much concern for it, but the builder did a nice job.  The combined tank and fairing is a very nice bit (if not very convenient).

My own is not far removed from stock.

Thanks to everyone who has posted pictures so far....let's keep them coming.

Guzzimike
For some reason I am unable to post pictures from my home computer but will post some from my shop computer if I go in tomorrow to finish up some work or Monday at the latest.

Paul
Your Daytona certainly qualifies as very special.  I have been following on your site for a number of years and enjoy seeing your ingenuity and craftsmanship.  Is the oil cooler adapter something you were able to purchase or something of your own design and manuafactur?

Again thanks to all and lets see  more.

flapjack,
you also spent quite some time on yours.
are those marvic wheels?
did you also make the fork angle steeper like paul?

most things I did are in the engine en gearbox.
new tappets
new valve guides, new valves
polished camshafts
new gearbox bearings
new horvath pump with steel gear
roper plate
drive shaft with grease nipples
94 hp at the rear wheel with the original 992 cc

Mine is just a pile of  bits at the moment but I have just bought a Daytona RS which was raced in Thunderbikes in the UK. Frame has been modified to same dimensions as the Raceco Daytona which was raced in the 1990s and a friend is building me a big bore motor.

Anyone know other sources of lighter wheels apart from PVM and OZ?

One of the prettiest and maybe best performer that Guzzi has made.  It is a REAL motorcycle that will give you a workout and lots of fun.

By the way,  I still have a complete red european fairing with frame, lamp and trimmings for a Daytona RS.  Looks like brand new.  Beautiful.

Anyone interested, please PM me soon.

Here's something you guys might like.  I just bought this May 1992 edition of Cycle World off Fleabay for the Daytona article. I've scanned the article and here's (4) pages of it. Good reading!

Completely forgot till you mentioned it.  I have the same.  2 copies.  Have you bought the tee?  Now you have to hunt down the rest of the memorabilia.  There is also a patch and a pin. ;-T

Distinctive bike and may not be the best out there but gets the looks.  ;)
