I just had a sudden flashback to my mother singing Mairzy Doats.

This is so clearly a rally. It looks to me as though it is shaping up to be both a big one and a good one, one that I wish I could attend.

But I remain utterly confused about the "not-a-rally" thing. What is that? Why is that?

The manner in which it was explained to me was that rallys require insurance, while just a bunch of folks arriving in a location at the same time does not.

So, with this N.A.R. not being 'sanctioned' by the MGNOC, does that make this an 'outlaw' event? Would this, then make the attendees outlaws? I can see it now - does MGNOC give demerits for non conformal behaviour?

 If you go back , way way back to the beginning of the Cedar Vale thread , you will see some discussion about us going all "Wild Ones" on the little town . Seem to remember Kirby 1923 saying he had found his striped shirt 

 Seriously , the Knotarally thing isn't meant to be anti-MGNOC statement .

Good heavens; let's not go down this road.

From the very earliest MGNOC events--decades ago--even the national event was emphasized as only being a "get-together" and definitely not a rally.  Never a rally.  Many Guzzi riders of the day shunned the largest rally of that time (Aspencade in New Mexico) for exactly the reason that it was a rally.  I guess we're quirky that way...

This Cedar Vale thing is entirely in keeping with that philosophy, and naturally enough, many of those attending are members of the MGNOC.

I just secured the last available room at the cedar creek lodge, maybe the last one available in town.  Talk about luck.  I was told the next step was to get something in Ark City.

We'll only be staying Friday night though and heading home after dinner Saturday night, so if someone wants the room Saturday night, I can probably help with arranging that.

I'm working some other stuff to help with CV as much as I can, but keeping it under wraps for now because of uncertainty.  But, if it happens, this is going to be one heck of a shin-dig folks.

The map posted for Kansas shows some nice roads but misses many more that are as good or better, especially in north central and NW KS along with other NE roads. I do not know how to go about posting them, sorry. But ever if anyone from out of the area wants more info, PM me. Maybe Danial Kalal can help out.

North West and North East Kansas is a long ways from South Central Cedar Vale. 

The Seven Bridges Ride looks interesting and is on the way to the Oz Museum from CV. 

I've Google Mapped the route in case anyone wants to take the ride.  I would suggest that you might call the Oz Museum in Albany first if you decide to ride there.

 Sorry fellas , been a bit derelict in my duties , promise to redirect some energy and focus to the Knotanational .

 The mayor called this morning , which reminded me that we are getting close . What we kind of need is some kind of
informal head count . Some of you folks that participate on other social media have indicated there is interest beyond what
we are aware of on WG , if you would please , do a quick informal count there . Thanks .

 The city will do a BBQ on Friday evening , and breakfast Saturday morning as fundraisers . Told the mayor she could probably
count on 110 or so for the BBQ , and maybe 1/2 that for breakfast . Guessing $9.00 for the BBQ , and around $6.00 for the
breakfast . Of course the rally fee of $25.00 will include Saturday evening meal , camping , and most of the incidentals .

 Still looking for someone to manage the bike show on Saturday , thought we should have it start around 4:PM in downtown
CV , am inviting riders from the surrounding area to join us for that so we can show them what real motorbikes look like
