  Rod,

Please bring your cooking gear.  Some how I got volunteered to cook Thurs night

Could use an experienced hand.  If you have menu suggestions, I'm open.  Thinking sausages.

Thanks,

Dave

You get your can cooker? I have a pretty good one for pork chops. Easy and not a lot of prep.

I have the small cooker.

Small bag of the smaller golden potatos. 1/4 them into bottom of cooker.
Three of the steamer ready vegis mix bags Carrots, brocoli, cauliflower. Dump those on top of taters.
Next add 1/2 of a lipton soup mix. I really like the herbs one.
Then layer chops on top. I squeeze in 10 of the small dollar size chops.
Now add liquid. I have used mt. Dew, beer, but water works too. 1/2 a 20 oz bottle is enough.
Add remaining soup mix over chops.

Close it up and go. I have started turning heat up at start to get steam going, then turn it down. About 30 min is all it needs. Then a 10 min rest before you open it.

You can dump it all out in a disposable turkey pan. I want to scoop out the food then dump the juices into a pan and make a sauce. Should be awesome.

I have done tukey breast meat also, but you need to cut the meat into smaller pieces.

Got small can cooker and double burner coleman stove for Christmas.

Makes a mean shrimp boil, dirty rice, steamed 3lb of the small Goldens yesterday for potatoes salad.

We'll conspire.  Pork is always on sale.

Thanks,
Dave

Don't forget to bring your good tunes, too!

Workn on it. Added a bunch of cd's to 80g ipod classic tonite, up to 1000 songs so far. Anything from classic guitar rock, blues, jazz, bluegrass, country, comedy, rock, 80s rock, harder stuff. Still have piles of cd's to go.

My plan is to still arrive on Thursday.  Looking forward to the event.

From our N.A.R Gathering of Eagles in historic Cottonwood, AZ, we are looking forward to Friday night "live" SKYPE computer call ("A World First", I believe....in the annals of Guzzi rallies), with Paul, Dusty, and all the Kansas Guzzisti! :thumb:

Too early to commit yet on the exact hour JJ...will depend on what time we get in from Houston and how hard it is to herd the cats, I mean Guzzisti.

I'd venture to say it would be later than 7 pm Cedar Vale time though, I was thinking Saturday night we'd have more people anyway...but I'll leave it up to our Social Director, Master of Ceremony Sir Dusty to advise here!

Hmm , well certainly not my area of expertise . Can we do two different connections , one Friday afternoon , and maybe another one around 4PM CV time on Saturday during our bike show ? Seriously , this will all be up to our experts , gonna have my hands full . Whose idea was this , give him a pat on the ... oh , sorry , never mind

Now we need a Guzzi Diag expert to speak up and volunteer to do a tutorial .

During the bike show downtown Cedar Vale?

That sounds more of a complicated setup, I'd rather do it back at the camp site as I don't plan on lugging around a laptop thru the bike show...

Totally flexible on times either Friday or Sat. night...just don't forget about the time difference (you guys are 2 hours ahead of us)...so no worries...We will all just be sitting around jaw-jacking anyway! :thumb:
