There's nothing like relaxing at Hewins Park with good friends enjoying cold adult beverages while watching LowRyter try to back his RV!

Who needs the silly Internet??  :thumb:

Oh that would be very cool Luap  :thumb:

OK , here is the tentative schedule of events .

Wednesday . The few of us that will already be there will probably just head to the cafe for evening meal , and just do some catching up .

Thursday . Do some local exploring , greet the arrivals , laugh as much as possible , breakfast at the cafe , Davedel and AMgeneral have promised a great evening meal . We can build a nice fire , and catch up some more .

Friday . We have several options , ride to Oklahoma thru the Tall Grass preserve ,
or ... Friday is free form except for the evening meal , the City is gonna do a wonderful BBQ , start feeding about 6:00 PM , followed by desert at the museum . Trust me , the Cedar Vale museum is very cool , let's help support it .

Saturday morning biscuits and gravy provided by the local Lion's Club for donations , will include juice and fruit . Bike show starting at noon in downtown , we have invited some of the local motorbikers to participate in the Cedar Vale Motorcycle Day .
We will begin feeding our famous catfish and hushpuppies about 7:00 PM , followed by a couple of surprises .

Oh , almost forgot , joke night will be Friday night , late , after the young folks have retired , because , well , it might get a bit crude

If you are still undecided , at least contact me , we can accommodate a few late arrivals, all are welcome , but we need to know if you are coming .

 Dusty

Could a few people who have room or are coming by car bring some power strips?

The Cedar Pavilion has a few power outlets but with so many people with smartphones, laptops, cameras, drones, marital aids, etc. we are going to possibly be lining up to charge stuff...just an idea...Thanks!

Good idea about the power strips Chris  :thumb:

There is already a horse shoe pit with stakes just South of the pavilion , can probably get a couple sets of shoes . Gliderjohn has a surprise for everyone that should be fun .

The only "live stream" I"m aware of is the creek running under the bridge about a mile away from the park, or the guys lining up after drinking several beers to water the lawn in the back 40!  :)

I'll find a sliver of time in the work schedule to figure out how to do it, from Chris's suggestion, I'm guessing I'll need to bring a 100 foot extension cord to run the laptop, Iphone, projector and other electronic goodies! Will shoot you a PM if I can figure it out!

Looking more and more like I'll have to bring the Norge, not the Scura to carry all of this gear!  Oh well...the Scura will get a run to COTA for Moto GP this weekend!

When Dusty says they have a really large pavillion, he's not kidding.

I've yet to see another like it.

On the National Register of Historic Places . Really wish there was some video of it being built . Thanks again for the picture Jay , taken when we were there with Rock and Rick , the day I ran out of gas just North of Pawhuska , right ?

Public Service Announcement from the people who bring you the Cedar Vale Knotanational .

Not to alarm anyone , but we would like to provide a gentle reminder regarding weather in the Great Plains . It can and will often change rapidly , like in one minute . For those of you travelling from the East and West regions of the country spend a minute reading here.

If you see a line of thunderstorms in front of you , DO NOT ride into it . This time of year the dangerous cells will be moving fast , usually 35 to 45 MPH . Just find a safe place to wait the storm out . We will still be waiting for you to arrive , 30 minutes or an hour late won't make any difference . The giant pavilion will shelter us in a normal thunderstorm , and in the one in a million chance that a bad storm happens at the rally, we can shelter at the school house which is rated for some rough stuff .

We will , if needed , keep an eye on the weather across the country , and post any warnings needed to keep you folks safe on the journey .

Let's have a truly great rally , one for the books . Two weeks for the Wednesday arrivals , close now , get those bikes loaded and ready to go  :thumb:

Getting close folks , been a bit incommunicado the last few days , bad head cold .

Anyway , looks like we dodged some bad weather , Cedar Vale has traditionally been on this weekend , moving it back two weeks appears to have worked in our favor .

Once again , if you haven't registered , at least let us know you're coming , we can adjust on the fly if needed . The Pay Pal account established by Smithswede is still accepting deposits , and if you ask nice , we might still accept money orders mailed to the PO box listed in the Knotarally contact info pinned in the stickies .

Quite significant historical development just 30 miles from Cedar Vale: http://www.kansas.com/news/state/article144968264.html  Additional pictures here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4426312/Etzanoa-long-lost-city-believed-Kansas.html
Then again, when I was watching Predator I didn't think two members of its cast would become governors, either. So you never know.
