The bad news , it's wet and windy today . The good news , once this mess blows thru there won't be enough energy left in the atmosphere to brew up anymore storms . The weather looks great starting tomorrow , and getting better every day . We have the park until Mon , or Tue , or even Wed next week , so if you folks need another day to rest and dry out it won't be a problem .

Smithswede is experiencing some logistical problems , he will be leaving straight from DFW late Fri evening . No camping gear , yeah I know , lack of planning and all . Anyway , all of the local rooms are taken , is anyone willing to share with our famous globe trotting friend ?

"I-44 is now OPEN between Lebanon (mile marker 129) and St. Robert (mile marker 156) and remains CLOSED from Route 100 Gray Summit (mile marker 253) to I-270 (mile marker 276) in St. Louis due to flooding. 5-3-2017"

The good news is you boys stuck in Springfield should have a clean shot to Cedar Vale starting about lunchtime!

Still windy, rainy and cold here in Springfield. We have decided to spend an extra night in the warmth of the motel.

I could bring a hammock or an extra tent and inflatable pillow, but I don't have room to bring an extra sleeping bag, unless a friend of mine drives up as company, in which case we can throw some stuff in the car.

Dave D is bringing an extra sleeping bag , we will figure something out .

For our Thursday arrivals , there is plenty of room in the pavilion to set up tents while we wait for the park to dry out . By Friday the ground will be dry enough . Sandy soil , and enough slope to drain the excess . Besides , what's a little water ?

it looks like the last round of rain will blow out tonight.  You're in good shape Kirby, folks coming from the east should be able to dry out when they get to CV.

Alright Dusty, who did you have to communicate with to make the weather that is on tap possible?  The last 5 in a row I put on in Missouri were flood rallies.

This weather looks perfect.  Anyone needing another excuse to ride, here it is...

I have a room Friday and Saturday night but don't know the bed arraignment. If I have an extra bed SmithSwede is welcome. If I remember correctly my room last year had a double and a single.

Been holed up in Licking, MO for 2 days.
Seeing a buddy in Mountain Home AR tomorrow night, then hopefully heading to Cedar Vale.
Pouring rain as I write this.
Rode down from western Wisconsin Monday in 35F rain and an hour of slushy snow, but roads were ok.
Rerouted yesterday and added 100 miles to my day.
Hope to arrive Friday evening....

Dusty, just had an unavoidable event arise, and we won't be making it to the rally.    Everyone is okay, just some clean up needed up here.   Feel free to give my room to whom ever may need it.   Planning on making next years, Thursday to Sunday, or when I sober up or out of seegars. Give my regrets and regards to all the attendants.

Finally the rain has moved East. It's cold and windy here in Springfield MO. Probably hit the road in the next hour or so. Heated gear is ready to go.
