Prescott promised to call for the helicopter this year

How does your timing look Paul , we should be at Woolaroc by about 1:PM on Fri .

 Dusty
I probably won’t make that...would be leaving Houston at 7 am, doubt I can make it to the Roc by then...but I’ll send the helicopter

Hey , wake up , get those bikes ready , stop procrastinating , we don't wanna hear how you just forgot to change the oil , or put on a new tire so you can't make it . Those excuses aren't valid this
year . Neither is "I can't miss opening day of 9 meter 2 man sailboat racing from Keokuk IA"

31 days folks , 30 for the Wednesday arrivals , don't say you weren't given enough lead time  :weiner:

Dusty,

What's the expected head count this year.  It was something like 65 last year as I recall.

We can even arrange for some extra mileage ... we now have incorporated a special Woolaroc to Bartlesville round trip we affectionately call the Small Block Spark Plug Run!  Ill be printing certificates for those who complete that loop in under 45 minutes!

Frank and Lola's has great Green Chile Cheese Burgers in B-ville, but you'll have to get there after 4(?).  Also have live music there.

My wife does genealogy on our family trees.  She has located a female relative of mine -- second cousin, once removed -- in Bartlesville.  My great-great grandparents and her great-great-great grandparents are the same people (from the early 1800's).  We have communicated via e-mail.  I plan to meet with her and her husband and discuss our backgrounds, probably for lunch on Friday.  I'm looking forward to it.

I did a similar thing with another female second cousin (different branch of the same family tree) in Minocqua, WI last year on the way to the MN Guzzi Rally.  IIRC, the two ladies are connected through the same grandparents way back there.  Lots of fun meeting these distant relatives.

Shameless plug......

Laurie and I had a GREAT time last year...really wish we could be there this year. We arrived on four wheels and were still welcomed!!

Please attend if at all possible. The venue is fantastic and the folks of Cedar Vale enjoy the company of the bikers that enjoy " Life at the Speed of Guzzi!!"

Dusty and his gang do a fantastic job at putting this on. I have attended other Guzzi get-togethers and this one is the favorites...it is one of the "special" ones.

Everyone ride safe and appreciate what the Cedar Vale NotaRally has to offer...

Oh , we're "special" alright Jeff

Here is the schedule of events .

Wed is free form , most of you guys who will be there on Wed know how it goes , we eat , hang out , tell a few lies , catch up . Dave has promised something fun for evening meal .

Thurs ,breakfast at the cafe, and for those who are interested , we will ride up to Dexter , and around the area , staying pretty close to Cedar Vale . It is dry in SE Kansas , but if we get some rain to refill the creeks maybe a waterfall and bridge tour . Keep it simple .Thurs eve dinner will be in the park , Rod and Dave will surprise us .

Fri , breakfast at the cafe , and we will depart for the wind mill/tall grass preserve/Woolaroc tour around 9:30 AM . Lunch will be somewhere  Fri evening dinner will be provided by the CofC for a small donation .

Sat breakfast will be served by the Lions Club , also by donation . They do a nice job .
Small bike show downtown starting about noon , museum doors will be open , and the local ladies will be serving deserts , they did a great job last year , expect the same this year . Kind of a Cedar Vale motorcycle Saturday with some locals in attendance , we can show off a bit to local motorbike riders .

Sunday morning breakfast at the cafe for those who have the time , last year we had about ten , a nice way to close out the rally .

One other thing , there is a city council meeting on Thurs evening . I will be attending , and hope a couple of the other attendees will join in . Since we do this as a fund raiser for CV . we are encouraging them to upgrade the facilities , which they have been willing to do before . Unfortunately this costs money , so we need to present a plan to the council . CV could and should host a couple of other MC rallies thru the year , clubs like the Airhead Beemers , The Single cylinder club , and the ADV types would enjoy the area .

Come on folks , not bragging , but our little event in CV is a great way to spend a few days and make new friends , or catch up with old ones .

 Deposits sent to

 Dusty Turner

 PO Box 3372

 Muskogee OK 74401 .

Given Dusty's longstanding albeit mysterious ties to the shadowy denizens of the local Russian commune, I think the proper title might be Tsar.   Or Czar.  Maybe Commissar.

I was always fond of Stalin's adoption of "Gardner of Human Happiness."   That probably fits Dusty better than Commissar.

Now there are 2 words you don't normally assume go together in one sentence... Stalin and Happiness.

Der Komissar ist in der Stadt...hey hey!  Don't turn around...oh no!

We might have the Tsar of the (Cedar Vale) Tribunal or the Kommisar of ze Kamp Fire!  :)  Dusty has many secret agent names!

I'll be bringing a couple of items for the auction, things that are in the garage and are no longer needed.

Can I also bring items that are "For Sale"?  I have a couple of those things also.

Looking forward to the event.  Time is getting closer.
