 Weather is looking good folks , betting we won't see a repeat of the heavy rains from last year . In fact the Mayor promised we would have good weather , and she hasn't ever lied to us  :grin:

 Get those auction items sorted , tires mounted , oil changed , and routes planned .

Preparations are underway. Retreating the riding gear and making sure I have everything. Looking forward to taking State and US Routes rather than Interstates. Toward that end, we plan to depart a week from tomorrow and take the scenic route, rather than knocking out miles on the slab. Yep, I'm getting excited. All the way up to 38F right now. I'm tired of winter!

I hope you all have good weather for that weekend. :thumb:  Heavy rains are not a good thing at any motorcycle rally... :shocked: :shocked: :shocked:

I also hope "Paul" from Houston brings his laptop so we can have a joint "SKYPE" video conference call between Cottonwood and Cedar Vale - - like we did last year! :cool: :thumb: :1:

 The long range weather guessers are calling for perfect rally weather .

 One of my favorite parts of visiting the pavilion is sitting on the East side in early morning , the Sun coming up over the trees , warming these old bones . Come join us on the bench along the East side of the very old pavilion for a morning coffee , an experience you'll never forget .

I do have an external optical drive I can bring, let me make sure it's still working and test it on a DVD.  I also have a portable projector as well, so we could do a "movie night" if so desired and broadcast on to the side of the Hewins barn.

Be sure to order some Huckleberry ice cream so you, me and Sam can reminisce about Montana!  Speaking of which, anyone know if Sbaker is coming up this year?

 The Calistoga half mile flat track race is on Sat afternoon , broadcast on fanschoice for free . Maybe we can show that on the pavilion  :afro: Likely that is where Daniel K will be , which of course might allow for an interesting Skype hookup .

It will still be Skype...just on the Iphone rather than laptop!  Either way, we'll make it work, even if we need to run string and a couple of paper cups!  :)

The excitement is building. Bike is ready, paper maps have been gone over, (yes they're coming along), GPS has been updated, camping gear all repacked and ready. Just a couple odds and ends left.

Looking to leave Saturday the 28th and find anything that avoids Interstates and large cities. Yep, the scenic route this year! Less miles per day and more scenery!

It has really been a loooooooooong winter here. I need a vacation. Looking forward to seeing you derelicts fellow Guzzisti in a couple weeks.  :boozing:

The guy sent the wrong tire, I wanted an 880 he sent a Sportec Klassik.  You can't get the H anymore, I got 21K. The V got me 17K. I hope the Sportec get's at least 10, then I'll get a matched set.
I gotta make some $ to pay my way. Got 1 this weekend that'll pay for tire & brakes.

This reminds me of myself being in the same situation.

And then someone, who won't be named, bragged to me about HIS football team beating MY football team.  Yes, this fellow lives south of the Red River and gets to cheer maybe one in every four or five years.

He lives in some WEIRD place.   :shocked:

But here I was, needing a way to get 150 miles to home, and that was the text he sent.....   :violent1:

What is the best motor oil to use when traveling to Kansas?
Accentuate the positive;
Eliminate the negative;
Latch on to the affirmative;
Don't mess with Mister In-Between.
