Cedar Vale has a nice park, free camping , minimal facilities, and a really large pavilion . Guard cat can be easily bribed with food . Lots of interesting. albeit simple things to do . Low hills and green trees . Sedan and Ark City are close . I ride to CV about once a year and camp . anyone interested in meeting in CV for a day of mayhem and lies ? Dusty

:) Well my bday is Apr 22 , this used to be my bday ride with local friends until they could not be coaxed out of their comfy homes any more . You guys always seem up for some fun . Anyone else in ? It really is a pretty park , just out of town . Dusty

Cowboy style? For me that used to mean roll up the jacket for a pillow, wrap in a blanket or bag, and drink enough liquor to ignore mosquitos until morning.
I don't do that anymore. I have been spoiled by my tent and cooking stuff.

I'd love to if I were a bit closer. Most of my moms family is from either Ark city or Winfield.

Fell in love with trains playing on the locomotive in the park in Ark City as a kid in the 60's.

Been a few years since I went thru there.

Sounds like fun, just a hop skip and a jump for me, drove by there Monday on the way to Norton, Ks. Can we go for fried chicken in Bronson and to see Big Brutus?

not to spoil a party but according to the Cedar Vale website cedarvalekansas.com last years annual spring fling fell on that weekend might be wise to make a phone call to check campsite availability. Sure would hate too show up and find no room at the inn

No . Actually the one functioning eatery serves a good breakfast . Have to go to Sedan . Birth place of Emmit Kelly .

Check out the Chicken Shack in Bronson, Ks. They can really put the scald on a yard bird.

Called CV city hall , was informed that the campground was booked APR 27-28 . Anyone up for May 4-5 . Seems as though a new $10 a night fee is in force . Maybe always has been and I have been breaking the law . Dusty

Apr 20-21? many of us will be in Anderson MO May 11-12. Makes it easier to get along with the SO if I am not gone two weekends in a row.
