chrome plating - or where do I find a LMIII shift lever in good condition???

there hasn't been a topic posted on where to get good chrome plating done in a while so thought I'd put it out there.  I'm in the NYC area so something local would be preferred but I can send it out since it's just the shift lever on my LMIII.

I'd buy a new one but no one seems to sell them anymore unless you guys know something I don't.

If you want it fast (3 days for all of the V7 Sport parts I sent them) and good, I'd recommend Brown's Plating in Paducah, KY. http://www.brownsplating.com/. They're not the cheapest, but I feel they're reasonably priced.

Didn't realize they had already closed when I originally posted - hadn't yet received the news. Going to miss having a reliable, fast chromer to do my restoration work.  :(

I sent mine to Tri-City plating in Elizabethton, Tennessee. After having them rechrome the bumpers on my '68 Dodge Charger, I knew these would turn out nice. They aren't accustomed to small pieces, and I would be sure to prepare the bearing shafts with plastic or talk to them about how to keep chrome off them; they put it on quite thick and I had to do some sanding to get them smoothed out. But the chrome is perfect!

In NYC there's Empire Metal Finishing in Astoria. They are not cheap- they mostly do architectural hardware. I think their minimum charge for anything is $300.00. Great quality.
