Hi there.  Trevor Z in Melbourne Australia.  63.  Riding 40+ years, almost daily.  First Guzzi is a Cali '06 Touring I've had for a few months and really enjoying it.  Just wondering if anyone has experience in upgrading the suspenion to YSS piggy back units and what improvements they've seen?  I'm glad the stock units are not harsh but they seem to have very little"travel" for the want of a better word and the handling is OK but a little vague perhaps.  Not quite the same planted feeling as my oilhead beemers or the ST2 Duke.  Any comments greatly appreciated.

Hi all

Thanks for letting me in (again) - second time around for me.  After two Guzzis (2002 Cali and 2007 Norge) I flirted with the Germans and British for a few years but have recently bought my neighbour’s 77 850 T3.  A bike more fitting to my age.
Located in Adelaide, Australia
75 years young
Retired

I think the T3 is going to be a challenge so I’ll be looking for a lot of guidance.

Cheers

Rob

Hello All!!
My name is Darren and I live in Newport News, VA.  I have always been an import guy but this is my first Italian!  I bought this 1998 California EV (38k miles)that had been sitting for ten years.  On the way home from picking it up I was browsing the net and found the sidecar right in my hometown and just couldnt resist.

So far I have:
-Changed engine oil and filter
-Sealed the fuel tank
-Cleaned the throttle bodies
-Changed transmission and final drive oil
-Lubed cables
-Cleaned chrome

Still on the list:
-All new brake lines/fluids
-Brake pads
-Fork seals
-Replacement rear turn signals (Broken)

Hoping to get a battery and crank in the next two weeks.  Looking forward to input and advice!

Noob here. New to Guzzi's, more or less. I had a 1971 Ambassador in the early 1970's, but I don't think that counts. I recently acquired a pair of 98 Centauros. Love them! Well, one anyway. It has a few thousand miles on it, zero issues. The other one has 14K on it. Runs like like a three-legged dog. Right side sputters a lot. I replaced the plugs and fuel filter (looked original). My manual shows the fuel system removed as a unit. But, they cleverly left out how that is accomplished. So, I  guess I can post a happy face and a sad face. Meanwhile, I have a few other fun things to entertain myself with: 72 Norton Interstate combat 750, 75 MKIII 850 Commando, 71 Long Range Commando, 74 John Player 750, 76 Bonneville, 89 Honda Shadow ACE x2, 02 MZ Skorpion 660 Traveller, 96 MZ Skorpion Sport 660, 98 MZ Skorpion Sport 660, 94 Suzuki DR125, 02 Yamaha TTR125LE. At 72, I don't ride much, but I love having/cleaning/maintaining them. And, undoubtedly, looking at them.

A lover of V-Twins, and a longtime older EVO Harley owner - looking to expand my experience with transverse mounted V-twins.
Love the look of older Ambassador and Eldorado machines!
Can't get enough of CycleGarden and Canadian Nick Adams' Guzzi adventures on YouTube!

Peace.
A lover of Vtwins - both longitudinal and transverse - particularly those with floordboards;)  No 'Guzzi's in my garage yet, but plenty of older EVO Harley's.  Longing for an old Ambassador, Eldorado or 850-T3 to introduce myself to the magic of the  Moto Guzzi experience.

Where in MD are you located?  The MD MG owners group has monthly breakfast meetings in various locations generally from Frederick to Boonesboro (Keedysville) MD.  You can get on their email list if you're interested in meeting with other "guzzistas" occasionally by contacting www.antietamclassic cycles.com.  Attendees' rides range from brand new bikes to late 60s, or even older ones, and riding or even owning a Guzzi is not mandatory.  Interesting group with diverse backgrounds, and the conversations are interesting and informative.
