Nice 1981 G5 In Texas. These stories make me sad. Bike is nice. Looks mostly original to me as well other than the Valtek mufflers which are actually nice (I have the same ones), and I think the seat may be actually off a Convert or G5 from a few years earlier models, but "original" nonetheless (the original '81 has a sharper tail edge on the seat has a mid line chrome trim wrap), Color is original and unique to the 1981 models called Rosso Madeira. Overall looks really good.

For anyone looking for a G5, this is a good one I think.

My second GuZzz was a1980 black one. It’s the one machine that I wished I never sold.

I would buy that in a NY minute if it were closer.  It looks sharp and the asking price is very fair.  I hope it ends up in a good home, not with a Charlatan like me that would strip it down and paint it a funny color.  I really like the 1980 seat covers and just ordered one from the UK to recover my ‘79 seat.

Make sure you get a notarized copy of the court order/will showing the seller as being the Administrator for the estate.  You'll have legal problems with transferring the title if you don't have the legal paperwork straightened out.

Bike sold I think. It was pretty nice. They also have an SP for sale. Same scenario:

My G5 build has been taking so long that I’ve come full circle back to keeping the original tank, side covers and seat, all refinished of course, but with police bars and floorboards. Maybe a solo seat... Another G5 rescued hopefully. I love reading about them on the forum.
