Parting Out My 2001 V11 Rosso Mandello
« on: November 11, 2014, 09:24:03 PM »
I've been toying with the idea of parting out my 2001, I've done quite a bit work on it and I'm just a little afraid of having the engine rebuilt being that there so many things that could go wrong. for someone looking at possibly buying some parts from me, please feel free to PM me. I had a lot of things powder coated, clear coated along with some nice new heads that were completely overhauled by Mike Rich. I'm just not sure I have the time or the patience right now to put it all back together again. If you look up my profile you will see a lot of pictures of my bike.

If I have enough people that want some parts it will be worth it.

Thanks for taking a look.

Lots of powder coated parts including rims valve covers, sub frame, clear coated exhaust, fairing, alternator cover, HID head lamp conversation, new painted body parts, etc.

Shame to part out such a pretty bike. How much would you want for the entire jigsaw puzzle?

there is not that big a market and I'll predict you get less $ parting out even if you have to take around $3,500 for it.. I'm saying, where will you find buyers for parts like the tranny rear drive and motor? unless you'll sell each for just a few hundred I think it will be a hard sell.
tho not quite the same exclusiveness I have 98 EV parts left over cause they got no bids, like a complete fork w/triple trees, headlight ears, fender/fork brace axle that no one would buy for even $200.. 5 speed? no bids..timing cover? wiring harness?
finally sold the jugs/pistons and heads with rocker covers etc for around $300 after a couple ebay listings.. had to ship them to Sweden or somewhere far away.. I gave away many of the parts for free or real cheap and still have a bunch of parts all over.. need some headers? floorboards? tank, I have 3 EV airboxes..  a really nice EV camshaft w/40k looks great,  same with crank (still in block) anyone? flywheel and used clutch?

so what is wrong with the Rosso as is?

Why does it need to be rebuilt?

After a busy and a long wait, I've decided to part out my 2001 Rosso Mondello. I'm moving to Austin Texas this June and just don't have the time or patience to repair the connecting rod. The rest of the bike is pretty much perfect. New Paint, lots of powder coating has been done. If your interested in parts feel free to message me. Also look at my profile if you want to see what color my body parts are.

Heads have just recently had a valve job done by Mike Rich and look fantastic. I only wished I was able to have them installed. They are still in the box and ready to ship. Also want to note that I'm selling all items in pairs, Heads, wheels, exhaust, valve covers and pork-chops.

I know I will get a lot crap for parting it out, I just don't want to deal with the headache of putting it all back together again. I have a ton of packing and business dealings to do before I leave. I'll hunt down another one when I get to Texas.

Have a great weekend everyone !!

Aloha,

Marshall

Wanted to add being that I'm gotten quite a few inquiries about my heads that were rebuilt from Mike Rich. The heads were rebuilt to stock standards, but with stainless steel valves, and with higher quality valve guides.

Thank you for everyone's inquires.

Aloha.

Trans is perfect, I didn't have any problems with it at all. I'm not sure on a fair price to sell it for? He can PM if he wants to make me a offer.

Thank you Chuck,

Feel free to make me offer via PM. The forks are in good shape along with the triple clamps, however the the cosmos could use a nice coat of paint, being they are black a bit faded.

Trust me, I don't really want to especially since I've done all that powder coating and paint. Wish I could send it to you, but you probably can buy a new one with the costs of shipping.

My apologies if I have not gotten back to any of you on the parts that you are inquiring about, sometimes I get email alerts and sometimes I don't. So I'll be doing my best to check on the PM's and posts though out the day.

Have a great day

I recently relocated to Austin Texas, I also brought my Rosso with me. If you were interested in buying any bike  parts, please let me know. The shipping costs will be substantially less now that I am in Texas and not Hawaii. Please PM me if you have any questions.

Aloha,

Marshall
