Nuovo Falcone 2015
« on: March 19, 2015, 02:29:15 PM »
You've got to love a bike that starts first kick after sitting in an unheated garage with temperatures below freezing for almost three months.

To celebrate, I took a little video: http://youtu.be/NAg5c1YU7JQ

then went for a quick ride, even though it was still below freezing.

The dog said screw it he's going for a ride, I'll just go back to the house.

That was my first thought.

"That human's crazy!   Let him freeze his paws off, I'm going in!"

After 13 years, she's got the pattern nailed.

I bought them off eBay.  I had to ream out the bar ends to get them to fit, and drill a hole near the headstock so I could feed the wires internally.

She's a smart one, and like most German Shepherds, she's willful and determined (although now a bit deaf and blind).

I don't know ... I think that those old horizontal-cylinder Aermacchi's are just as cool as the old Guzzis!   When you're riding down the road on one, you and anyone else who knows motorcycles recognize it as being "Outside The Box" ........

My NF has been featured in the most recent two consecutive issues of RealClassic magazine. The first was an account of a mad 'shakedown' ride across an isolated part of Quebec. The second was a write up about the replacement of my valve guides, valves etc.

My machinist Karl did such a fine job of replacing them that I gave him a copy of the magazine and bamboozled him into posing with it and the bike (which is running beautifully) in front of his shop.
