Helping someone restore an Ambassador.  Any recommendation on where to send a bent rear rim with a few bent spokes?

You might try, Buchanan's Spoke & Rim, Inc or Woody's wheel works.

My experience was that Woody's is a lot more customer service oriented than Buchanan's.  But it's Buchanan's that has the spoke making machinery, so Woody's probably gets custom spokes from Buchanan's.

I'd have Woody's do the work and source good used original spokes yourself. Mark E. and Harper's likely have bunches, I have a few also if needed.

Last time I called Mark E for spokes, he taught me how to straighten them, in situ, over the phone...

Chris Quinn ( Wheelworks) is right up the road in Hayward. Figure you might want try somewhere close before shipping off to Timbuktoo? He' done a bunch of wheels for me over the last 30+ years and I have never had a problem. Just sayin'

What's bent? Rim or spokes?
If it's just spokes, remove the offenders, bend them straight and re install/true

I have used Woody's Wheel Works and was very satisfied. The turnaround was prompt, the wheel was round, and the price was reasonable...
