V7 Special - Centerstand and Agostini Pipes?
« on: April 04, 2015, 11:56:09 AM »
I'm going to install a centerstand and Euro sidestand on my '14 V7 Special, and I'm running Agostini mufflers. When I purchased the pipes, I received this apparent centerstand "stop" and a note that said to "use only if central stand is installed". So my question is has anyone used this bracket, and how/where exactly does it mount? Assuming left side off the muffler hanger somehow?  Kev, since you're helping me would you know?  That would make it easy...

The OEM setup does indeed replace the left exhaust hanger with a stop bracket, so your guess is probably correct.

But that is a totally different shape, so we'll likely just have to play with it till it aligns with the centerstand arm and the bike holes. Unless someone else can give us more guidance.

But it doesn't look like a big deal.

They gave me a screw-in rubber bumper (in photo) with the bracket, but there's no hole drilled to accept it.  Does that attach to the center stand?

I don't have aftermarket mufflers but my center stand has a screw in bumper like this one and it screws into the bottom of the center stand when it's folded in the UP position.  When I bought my V7 classic, the prior owner didn't know that it was there and the stand was hitting the bottom of the left muffler.
