Número uno!

Absolutely no idea how it ended up in Oz, especially since they had been on sale in Europe for a while before we got them but in 2013, (I think?) I sold this.

I didn't give it much thought at the time but a few weeks ago it came back and I updated its map. To do this with the single TB machines PADS asks you for the vin # which I dutifully went and found and it dawned on me. The last four digits were 0001! It's the very first production Stone!

Rumor has it that the mothership made sure you got the first one  ;)

Yeah, Pete will figure out what is wrong with it, fix it, tell them, and they'll ignore him instead of the engineers.  ;D Saves all that R&D money.  ;D

While now, it's merely a curiosity to me, it's interesting to contemplate that one day - if it survives - it could be hugely significant.

Thing is Chuck I can honestly find very little wrong with the 'Nuovo Smallblocks' since they went to the single TB set-up. They are super-reliable, stupid cheap to run and as long as you don't screw them up by sticking stupid loud pipes on them they fuel up and perform quite adequately. The biggest problem they have is people who say "It's a 750, it should make at least 75HP!" Without understanding anything about engines. If people would just ignore the swept volume and concentrate on the ride they'll either enjoy it or not. If they don't? Well there are plenty of other bikes out there.

I sold my first V7-II last week, they are selling like hot cakes down here and the owner has to wait a couple more weeks for the next shipment to come in but I'm really looking forward to puting it through its paces.

Surely you could come up with a bigger top box for that behemoth of a motor bike.

Yes, it looks like some sort of huge reliquary! Look, the owner loves it, that's all that matters. I'll bet when it's loaded up though the steering is nice and light! :o
