Moto Guzzi diecast / scale models. Where to buy?
« on: April 08, 2015, 06:41:02 PM »
Does anyone know a good source of Moto Guzzi diecast / scale models?

(as opposed to the endless number of bloody Harley models available everywhere  ::) )

I'm in Australia but of course it's a global market these days.

The more info, the merrier !   :)

(I did see this thread but it is somewhat dated now:  http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=55713.0 )

Thank You.  ;-T

eBay is definitely your best bet. There are only a handful of 1:10 and 1:18 scale Guzzis, a few in 1:12, and quite a bit in 1:24 scale, with a ton by the brand Starline.

Thanks I did have a look at the Starline ones but they don't seem to be retailed anywhere (not locally or on the net at least).

I'll check out ebay at home as I doubt the boss would be too amused.....

When you get home, hop (Australia reference) on www.ebay.com.au and search for "guzzi scale model". You'll see several Starline models on the first page.

Sometimes the Starline models go by another name (that I've forgotten), but you can often recognize their 1:24 (or 1:22) series by the shape of the transparent brace that attaches them to their display bases.

The prices for Guzzi models on the Australian ebay seem to be high compared to what I've seen on the U.S. version. Sometimes the Starline models (often not labeled as such) are available for less than four dollars, shipped from China. (That's what my kid paid for my Griso model, I believe.) My Starline Griso is superbly detailed for its size (and price).

Happy hunting.
