Hole Mole...

Very low Guzzi content....just a touch...

Went with Ms LD to a new Mexican (not Tex Mex) restaurant to night.  Hole Mole...amazing:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mole_sauce

Big fan of this most Mexican and complex of all dishes, had it on pork, with hand made corn tortillas.  Superb Margharita also...

Took Trumpet out this morning and dodged and beat Chac's efforts (Aztec god of rain).  Hope tomorrow morning to take the V7R out for a run before cold front returns as warm front with more rain.  Wow what a dreary day.  2015 has been very wet so far...need some sun.

Strange, isn't it?  Lucydad has an excess of rain and here in the (once) Golden State we are chastised for flushing toilets or taking showers.  Watering a lawn is a capital offense.

We have it all today -- every possible thing is falling out of the sky.  Microbursts.  Anvils with lightening.  Some sun, even.  Nasty squalls of hail and snow.

Went for a ride with friends this morning, and at the restaurant we generally stop at for breakfast we were told that the state will now fine a restaurant $500 for serving water without being asked first.  Don't know whether it's true, but I wouldn't doubt it.

I judge Mexican restaurants by how good their mole is. Good mole is one of life's pleasures. And not easy to find. It's **NOT** a chocolate sauce!

This was the best mole I have had in years.  We will be back.  Its hard to find true mole in Houston, most are Tex-Mex places.

Leftovers for lunch later...mmm...

Mole sauce is one of the finest creations on the planet. Many, many variations on the theme with usually over 20 ingredients in it. It's one of my favorite dishes. I usually do batter sauteed cubed chicken.
The best commercially made mole is made by Mayordomo in Oaxaca. It is damn hard to get in the states but it is available. Incredibly smooth and worth every penny. I have a jar of Mayordomo red and black mole in the fridge. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Saving leftover mole for later, having a burger at home.

Wow what a strange ride:  up 357, then cut west to Belleville, TX:  gorgeous stretch.  Masses of bicycles and cars out practicing for the MS 150 that is next weekend.  Great ride, but kaplow:   pop up torrential rain hit me around Orchard, TX on 36.  Was checking iPhone radar: snagged by tip of the spear, returning warm front wet cell I guess.  Just soldiered on, but did stop in Orchard for a power bar and water.  Pretty tired, bike is filthy, gear in dryer.

Bone head, smart as a mud fence me switched to mesh jacket and slider jeans instead of the Aerostich waterproof leathers.  Geez, when will I ever learn?
Temps at low seventies and pegged humidity:  pretty chilly at 65 mph.  Pretty dumb move on my part.  Spring riding around here can be full of surprises.

??? dude?/ yer in Texas.... My driveway still has 60 linear feet of ice on it.  Today.
;) Suck it  up and ride in rain gear.
If you are really cold I'll lend you my sealskin gauntlets.

... no I am not jealous. But I am curious why the folks in the stands at COTA are in rain jackets and still wearing shorts.
Can't be all that cold.
