Why should the ADA have any say in it? The VA gave me my scooter but it is certainly legal for anyone to buy and ride one whether or not they are disabled. Just remember that 8 1/2 miles an hour is not really white knuckle thrilling. It is however faster than my wheel chair which begins to have speed wobble at that speed. For a mere 8 grand plus about a grand shipping, I can get a German one that can go 19 MPH and go 50 miles between charges. For that much you can buy a decent motorcycle.
