marelli coils

Replacing the coils on my 1976 Convert. Originals have only one terminal with marking-it is R and has the wire to the points. The replacement Marelli has both terminals marked-- one as "1" and the other as "15". A thorough check of wiring diagrams didn't help me with which one is hot and which goes to the points. Any info appreciated.
