This week's version of my 75T. I just put on the Tomasello headlight ears, new generic bucket from MG Cycle and my Breva windscreen.
Yeah, I have the Breva and the Nero Corsa, had SPs, T-3s, EVs, etc but this is by far my favorite Guzzi though looking forward to getting my loop project done.

Any thought if a current production bike that looked and performed like this could survive in the 2015 marketplace?

The market segment would be everyone on this list, because we appreciate nice motorcycles with a lot of dimensions.   The rest of the world would be interested in the top speed, the horsepower, and the 1/4 mile times, so that's a non-starter.

Some of it has to do with the way a bike looks as well. It seems bikes with even a hint of a retro look are doing ok as well.

Well, speed OR image, then.    The great mass of motorcycling hoi-polloi aren't the least bit interested in a clunky old 60 HP bike, from what I can tell.   

And even the people I ride with that ride Harleys or cruiser-clones won't dare bring them out in public until they can say that "I had 'em put a jet kit and a slip-on on it, she really flies now ...."

Devil's advocate here. I like it. That makes whatever I say solid, well-researched commentary. Furthermore, I know a lot of bike owners that are (a) out of diapers, and (b) not yet into Depends. We like retro bikes that start easily, look cool, have a throaty sound and go like hell. The bike shown above could easily do all those things. Yet, outside of a Triumph Thruxton, I cannot buy one.

So, I build my own.
