California handlebar dimension

Does anyone know the diameter of the California Touring handlebars? I am getting a 2014 and wanted to order a gps mount. I'm trading in my Norge because the cruiser riding position is just much more comfortable for me.

If no one chimes in, I will measure mine when I get home. I think it's 7/8, like the CalVin. Guzzi does make a nice OEM mount that does not go around the bar. It sells for around $100.00 What color are you getting?

I'm trading a white Norge for a black California. Guzzi is giving $500 towards accessories so I'm adding the 50L top box.

the bars are tapered, and a bastard size at the riser. Might be 28mm or 30mm or 28.6mm can't quite remember. 7/8" or 22mm at the controls and grips ends.

just did some searching, this is what I found:
Cal 14 is 28mm
1.125" is 28.6mm
CalVIn is 30mm
and IIRC, the Cal 14 and the CalVin are orphans, 28.6 is the industry standard.

If I'm not mistaken, all of the fat-barred Californias had 30mm bars that swaged down to 7/8" for the controls. I use Cali Stone bars on my Vintage...

Reduced in some fashion, but they don't look squizzed to size. Maybe welded. I have a few set lying around and they appear to have a bead at the abrupt step down. I'd guess welded or soldered/brazed somehow. Does it matter?

Ok, thanks. I thought maybe one technique was preferred or something. :)
