Well all good things must come to an end, I'm leaving Colorado and returning to UK in the next month. Hence my 2007 CalVin is up for sale.....

I thought about it, but the 20% VAT and 6% Sales tax on arrival in UK, doesnt make it worth while >:(

Greater London area, stopped in for a visit a year or two ago, seemed like good folks there.

If you sold the bike to me for $1.00 and I sold it back to you for $2.00 (gotta make a profit  ;D ) would that help the tax situation?

Are you  a UK citizen , been living in the USA and new relocating back home ?
They should not charge you taxes for your belonging, but i am just asking i do not know ..... i am surprised.
how long have you been owning the bike for ?
If the bike is in your name , registered ,insured etc, why would they charge you tax fee ?
I shipped a motorcycle to Italy that was in my possession, registered and insured for over 6 months and because of that , i did not get charged tax fee ( Iva )
Also how do they charge you tax on a used bike ? are they going to use KBB and estimate the value of the bike ?

Anyway ,sorry about that.
cheers
