Checks
« on: May 28, 2015, 12:20:50 PM »
It is time to order a new batch of checks. I'd like to get pics of Moto Guzzis on them. Anyone have a source for Guzzi imprinted checks other than to send a pic of my bike to the printer? I don't really want to pay a premium for personalized photo checks.

Make your own.  A lot of the people and businesses I do IT support for generate the entire check from a printer.  There are countless 'how-to' discussions on-line and a lot of software and equipment available for cheap.  The only 'special' thing needed is the ink for the routing number line since that's read magnetically.

It's interesting to realize that some folks still "write checks" and take them to the bank to deposit them, and all like that.

I'm still using the same batch of checks I've had since 1997, and they'll probably last me the rest of my life.   Just don't have any reason to write them any more.   The technology that replaced them is one of the ones that I've embraced because it makes my life simpler and doesn't have the whiff of "addiction" and "dependence" that so many other technologies do and that I can see affecting other people's lives in negative ways.

Swiping cards for gasoline, on-line bill payments, PayPal, automatic deposits, etc means I write about 6 checks every year ....  If I had to "go back", I suppose I could, just like I could go back to a party-line telephone, but I'd rather not!!

Thanks all for your replies, but I will take the collective answers as a "no". Checks Unlimited has Harley checks as their only motorcycle checks. I don't write many checks, but when I do......
