Dealer Recommendation - NC
« on: May 29, 2015, 04:06:33 PM »
I needed something, my local didn't have it, they ran a search and recommended Mathews Fun Machines in NC. I called them, they worked with me and gave me courtesy and were fast and efficient, sending my stuff to where I'm going to be week after next.

Looks like they sell and service MG. Glad I found them.

That's where I got my Stone. I've been happy with them. I'm glad to have a Guzzi dealer nearby.

MFM is where I bought my Norge.  Had some electrical teething problems, but they sorted it out quickly.  My .02 is it's a good dealership.

Didn't buy there, but visited and test rode a bike there.  Very professional and courteous.

My experience with Matthews Fun Machines was the exact opposite of all of the above, beginning with the pick up of my bike. It seemed every interaction after the purchase, I was an inconvenience to them with the standard reply of " we will get back to you", which.... didn't happen.  I have since found Scoot Richmond, Richmond Virginia.  Another excellent dealer is Newport Italian in Newport California.  Both Scoot & Newport have always gone the extra mile in answering questions for me, even to the point of putting on to their head mechanics on the phone to sort things out.  Bottom line I have dropped several grand in accessories with the latter two, which otherwise would have gone to MFM.

That's good to hear as they are my closest dealer. I should ride over and say 'Hi' sometime.

Thats where I purchased my Norge and had a good purchasing experience. The sales Manager there is top notch and he is who I eventually called to help with my not so great service experience from their service dept. I am not going to say... The Thrill is gone, but Perhaps my service dept experience was a fluke (read This http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=76730.0 The Good the Bad The Ugly) I will not throw them under the bus because I am willing to let them prove themselves on next service before I take off for service work elsewhere.

My experience with them was not good either.   I ended up getting my V7 Stone in Pennsylvania instead of at Matthews.  I go the impression that could care less if I bought the bike or not.  They did tell me that the V7's were going out the door really fast so I'm assuming that's why they were not very helpful.
