New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
Have you had any maintenance performed by either of them? Thoughts/ comments?
Thanks Peter. I've taken advantage of their free state inspections as well. I was told by Jon (no longer there) that they have two "certified" MG tech's. I assume they're still there, but have no experience with either one. Haven't had a reason to use them or anyone else at this point. Do you live in the Hampton Roads area, and are you going to the VA rally?KBuck
They were my closest dealer... the closest is now Scoot Richmond.Previously we had Steelhorse Classics in Williamsburg... they keep getting futher and further away from Tidewater!
I seem to recall someone at Redline mentioning that Piaggio was difficult to deal with in terms of getting parts and making warranty claims.
Lannis, put the dollars in your tank bag and throw the change into the bag and Bob's yer uncle. Come visit!
I DID come visit today. Yesterday, Fay and I were taking the granddaughters to their great-grandparents to stay the night near New Canton (Buckingham County), and on the way back a turkey walked out in front of our Festiva, I braked almost to a stop, there was a loud POP and the pedal went to the floor. Turkey escaped unscathed but I had no brakes except a VERY weak hand brake. Idled 15 miles to Dillwyn on US15 and parked it at the closed Ford dealer about 9:00 PM, walked down to the convenience store and arranged a ride home.Called the Ford dealer in the morning, they had already looked at it and the front brake hose had ruptured, they fixed it ($140.60), so Fay and I hopped on the Stelvio and rode to pick it up. Fay drove the Festiva home ........ and I figured "Hey, I'm almost halfway to Scoot Richmond, I think I'll stop by!" so I took US60 all the way in. From 288 to Scoot Richmond there are 52 traffic lights, it's 15.6 miles and I averaged 29 MPH for that stretch so about 35 minutes. When I got there, Chelsea, Scott, and Alex took turns talking to me, I was trying not to keep them from whatever they were doing but they made it clear that I was what they were doing at the moment, they seem real nice folks, knowledgeable about bikes and what customers want, offered me a demo ride on any bike in the shop, so I spent an entertaining hour there. I did mention your name a couple times, they DID smile and nod and didn't turn and spit on the floor so you must be a good customer ....Rode the old roads home, Hull Street out to Beaver Bridge Road down to Bevil's Bridge to Namozine Road to US360 and through Burkeville to home .. Nice ride and good to know there's a Guzzi dealer only a couple hours from home, this is unprecedented ....Lannis
:1: for Scoot in Richmond. I had been lurking around there for about a year and a half, mostly looking at the Triumph Bonneville. Things always seemed to get in the way of my purchasing from them. Finally the stars aligned last Saturday and I picked up my new '16 V7 Stone. Fair price, fair trade in, friendliest staff of any retail establishment, especially after I had been hanging around for all that time . Service Department even mounted my luggage rack while I did the paperwork. Put me first. I like that!Scoot also sponsors the BBQ get together at Mission BBQ on Wednesday. Open to all riders. They support the riding community, no matter what you ride.
Awesome! Chelsea mentioned that you'd made the decision to buy.Any interest in heading out to Scottsville on Saturday morning for the SW Guzzi lunch?
