Has some nice goodies on it.  Bargain down for the stickers still on the tank.

Wow!  One of those Norges that can go 200 miles in a day!

Actually, that looks like a decent deal.  If only it had the 1200 Sport forks. . .

To his credit... in California traffic, 200 miles might really be all you can do in one day.

While I've never ridden a Norge, they look like pretty nice bikes to me and I do think about getting one on occasion.  What puzzles me, though, is why there are so many on the market.  I was having a look at the Guzzi listings on Cycle Trader earlier, an it seemed that about 80% of them were Norges. For those of you on here that have owned one in the past, can someone tell me why so many people are eager to sell?

Looks like a nice bike at a great price. "Never dropped or ridden in rain." I can't say that about my 2014 Norge.

Errr? Ad says 8V GTV? WTF?

It's a 2007 2 VPC model. Either the owner is a cretin or he's trying to pull a fast one.

Mind you, if it's legit, at that price it's a good deal.

You sir, are a very bad man.  Now I have Silver Norge Lust.

I was just thinking of how nice it would be to have a fairing after my last 5 hr road trip on my Griso.  Also a Norge would be good on my 4+ hr trips to visit a Tahoe Project I'm working on.

Pierre mentioned to me how the 07's had handlebar, instrument reposition and front shock mods in '08 which made them much better bikes.

I have my heart set on a V7 to scramble, then sidecar guzzi, then a V11 sport with magni fairing I know of....then....then. ...

Rats, now I have Norge Lust..must drink Grappa.

It is a 4 valver, notice the year and lack of heat covers on the heads. The owner is probably just using the current model description and doesn't really know.

Get a Norge, they are fantastic machines and they are good for 400 mile days end on end. The fuel economy is very good and the fairing does an admirable job of cutting through air at  high sustained speeds.

When I stayed at hotels on the Oregon coast, the front desk gals went out to look and admire the white Norge, they are simply good looking machines, PM me and I'll tell you which hotel in case you're in the market for both a Norge and rear seat company.

While it might seem like there are a lot of previous gen Norge models up for sale,  plenty of riders do get new bikes every few years.  Nevertheless, if the ST style of bike appeals to you, the Norge is unlike any other, with some minor adjustments for personal taste it can do for you what others lust after.

Or, you can be like everyone else and settle for what everyone else has. The line for those is the same one where they serve coffee in politically correct cups and mileage is gauged by how long it takes before the gas in the tank goes bad.

Now I have Silver Norge Lust.

I dropped by MI at the end of last month and they had a silver one with the Sport forks available.  It was really tempting.

Sold my Breva 750 and I miss the Guzzi world already.  I'm going to check it out tomorrow.  What should I look closely for?  He got it via an auction, has only had it 2 months so I doubt he did any wrenching.  I know about the plastic fuel filter issue, and typical startus interuptus, but what else?  What should I look for on the CARC.  I could sell my F800ST for a bit more then he is asking making this a straight trade, would you give up the lighter more powerful BMW for this Goose?

^ If you can test-ride it, that would be best. I would want to know how well it fit me as well as how it ran and whether I liked the feeling of it generally. You may love it, or you may like your BMW more. (Nothing wrong with that!)

Hey Norge Pilot any last minute words of wisdom, heading over in a few hours to check it out....

Where are you going there from? Get the service records (if available), it appears the owner isn't the type do do it themselves (could be wrong).

I have Guzzidiag, not sure if there are maps for that year but if so I'd be available to load them up for you.

Typical things, check the oil first to see if at a safe level but then run it really well for at least 20 minutes, then check it. Don't idle it to warm it up and check oil, it needs to get out on the road, get everything nice and warm before checking the level. You check it cold just to make sure it has enough oil for a safe start.

Your test ride should last an hour or more, seller should be willing to accommodate you. If you buy it, change the oil pronto, start out right. If you head toward Bodega Bay, Petaluma or thereabouts, PM me, could give you a second set of eyes.

Just saw the post about the auction. Could have come from an estate sale so ask for any info regarding why it went to auction. Munroes has plenty of availability for service this week, take it in and let them go through it. If you aren't into wrenching and buy it, they can do a good tune on it.

You might find the front end softer than expected, the first gen was softer than the 8Vs. That can be remedied if it isn't to your liking.

He likely paid quite a bit less than his asking, the price is ok but could be better. The market for 1st gen Norges isn't tight so watch your money.

Thanks all, bike seemed very clean, just not for me.  It had a Corbin saddle, I would have preferred the stock but nowhere to be found.  The plates expired in March, and while the seller was a nice person, he is clearly a backyard dealer.  Prefer to buy any used CL bike from the owner.  No service records.  Coming from a Baby Breva and now the F800ST, the Norge was just too tank like to guide through any urban riding, just my two cents. I'm keeping the BMW for now, will look for an interesting small block down the road, so thanks for the suggestions.  And no service records, though it did have a Harpers key chain and plate holder from a dealer in Covina CA..

Since it is still available, if you need to outfit it with a standard seat, I happen to have one, with little time on it and then only from light in the ass me...
